Recycling Resource Fair

The annual Recycling Resource Fair is an opportunity to reduce waste and promote sustainability in our community! Local organizations will be on hand to share information about their services, programs, and initiatives designed to support environmentally conscious choices.

And let’s help Lockport Township High School meet their goal of collecting 1,000 pounds of plastic by dropping off your plastic shopping bags and bubble wrap for collection.

Citizens Against Ruining the Environment (CARE) will be at the fair as an exhibitor so make sure to stop by and chat with us. We are a local, 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit group, staffed entirely by volunteers, that has worked under the shadow of heavy industry for over a quarter of a century to protect Will County’s natural environment. We are encouraging actions that will help reduce and/or eliminate the consumption of single-use plastic.
